Given our current President's oil and corporate leanings and his lack of ecological sensitivity America has MUCH TO LOSE. We face the devastating effects of Global Warming inherent in our nation's refusal to seek out new sources of energy and to cut back on energy use. Now, under the banner of war, we are rushing to ravage our wilderness areas, drill for oil in the Arctic Wildlife Refuge, our last truly wild area, build roads and cut old-growth timber on public lands. Conservation would do so much. Let's turn down the thermostat, cut gas consumption and treasure our water.
